Farewell, My Lovely

LA private eye Philip Marlowe (Robert Mitchum) is hired by excon Moose Malloy to uncover his girl friend. While additionally exploring the murder of a client and the convicted of a jade necklace, Marlowe becomes entangled with seductress Helen Grayle (Charlotte Rampling) and discovers a web of dark secrets which are better left hidden. It follows the initial Raymond Chandler's book closely although soaked in 1940s period detail, Farewell, My Lovely is actually just a neo noir picture of this 1944 film.
