Spring Eddy
Eddy, a small-time Chicago thug with a penchant for dubious schemes, is on the run. After robbing his boss, Eddy takes off for Mexico, but is distracted along the way by a beautiful hitchhiker. What starts out as a simple tryst ends with Eddy beaten, broken down, and penniless in Wynot, TX. After inadvertently witnessing a murder committed by Willet Nash, the county's all-powerful Sheriff, Eddy attempts to hold up a bank and flee, but his blundering plan backfires, and he is apprehended by Nash himself. Eddy's only chance of escaping jail alive is his fiancée Jeannie, whom he dumped at the altar in Chicago.
