The Bravados
The CinemaScope picture was founded on a book of the same name compiled by Frank O'Rourke. Jim Douglas (Gregory Peck) is a rancher who has been pursuing the four outlaws who killed his wife for six months. He slides to the town of Rio Arriba, at which four men, Alfonso Parral (Lee Van Cleef),'' Bill Zachary (Stephen Boyd), Ed Taylor (Albert Salmi) and Lujan (Henry Silva), fitting the description have been in jail awaiting execution, so that he is able to observe the hanging. The town has issued instructions to only allow the hangman (Joe DeRita) to input, so Jim is accepted to Sheriff Eloy Sanchez's (Herbert Rudley) office to express his own company. The town never had an execution and they have brought into a person from town to do the occupation. Jim is allowed by the intruder into the jail. They assert they had never seen him before, but he gets got the face of a priest.
