The Sea Wolves
During World War II, a top-secret operation by the British military to destroy Nazi radio ships in a neutral harbor is recounted in this true narrative, which chronicles their escapades. Col. Lewis Pugh (Gregory Peck) and Captain Gavin Stewart, both of the British Intelligence Service, are in charge of the audacious scheme (Roger Moore). Because the ships are in international waters, the commanding officers of the British armed forces are obligated to support the plan even though, in the event that it is unsuccessful, they must deny any knowledge of it. Pugh and Stewart seek the assistance of a retired colonel named Col. Bill Grice, played by David Niven, as well as other of his former men. On the guise of being on a fishing trip, these seemingly inebriated elderly men dressed in civilian clothing are tasked with boarding three Nazi ships and destroying them. This is necessary because the radio transmissions coming from the Nazi ships have led to the sinking of allied ships by Nazi submarines. Pugh and Grice carry out the risky raid on the Nazi ships and destroy them while Stewart prepares a distraction on land. Stewart's goal is to distract the Nazis long enough for Pugh and Grice to finish their mission.
