Invisible Heroes
Invisible Heroes recounts the heroic exploits of young Finnish diplomats in Chile during the notorious military revolution of 1973. The Finnish diplomats Tapani Brotherus, Ilkka Jaamala, and Tapani's wife, Lysa Brotherus, assisted more than 2,000 Chileans on the left to flee the junta's persecution. The Finns acted without official authorisation, although Swedish ambassador Harald Edelstam was the most prominent defender of human rights, with the support of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme.
