Wild America
Wild America is a television show that focuses on wild lands of the united states and the wild creatures. By the mid-1970s, a few full length documentaries had been assembled by Marty Stouffer. He approached the programming managers at Public Broadcasting Service of a wildlife show to concentrate solely upon fauna and the flora of the united states. PBS signed to broadcast Marty Stouffer's show Wild America in 1982. The show went on to become perhaps one of the popular aired by PBS, famous because of its portrayal of nature, in addition to its extensive use of film techniques like slow motion and close ups. Stouffer earned $135,000 per show from PBS.
The production of the show conducted from 1982 to 1994. The show is on PBS. Re-runs air in syndication on commercial television through much of the USA. In 1997, Warner Brothers published a full-length feature film entitled Wild America, which was based on his brothers along with the biographical narrative of Marty Stouffer, Mark and Marshall.
