Tough-talking Detroit cop Axel Foley heads to Beverly Hills in his own beat up Chevy Nova's environment to research a friend's murder, but soon realizes he's stumbled onto something. Bungling newcomer detective, the Axel is joined by Billy Rosewood and shows the West Los Angeles ropes.
