Publishing assistant Brett Eisenberg would like to be a big-time editor. However, she lacks a problem that isn't helped by her new, selfconfidence , overbearing boss. Brett soon enters into a romantic relationship with Archie, an elderly man with plenty of his or her own difficulties, including diabetes, alcoholism and a difficult relationship with his daughter. Intent on helping Archie get past his problems, she turns into her dad for information.
