A savings-and-loan financial institution is burglarized; later, a cops wiretap determines teller Leon Poole as inside man. In catching him, investigator Sam Wagner accidentally eliminates Poole's young better half, and also at his test Poole vouches vengeance against Wagner. Poole begins his plans to get revenge when he leaves his captors.
