A Real Vermeer

Talented and young Han van Meegeren is a rebel from the Amsterdam art-scene of the early 1920. Because he paints from the manner of his own idols Rembrandt and Vermeer, critics find his own job conservative and they call him a copycat. To prove a point, '' he tries to pass it off like an actual one and produces a Vermeer. It works. Rather than revealing the facts and hence embarrassing the art world, '' he continues to earn money off of the forgeries. He could be caught in a web of lies and deceit, and his life spins out of control. Then one day, high ranking Nazi Hermann Göring knocks on his door, searching to get a Vermeer due to his private group...
