Le Corbeau
Remy Germain is just a doctor as letters accusing him of having an affair and acting abortions that are criminal are mailed to village leaders in a French town who becomes the focus on a smear campaign. The mysterious writer, who signs each letter as"Le Corbeau" (The Raven) so-on targets the entire town, exposing everybody else's dark secrets. This allegorical picture was highly controversial during the time of its release, and has been prohibited after the Liberation from France.
