Bottom
Bottom is really a British anarchic sitcom written by and starring comic duo Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson as socially awkward, sexually inexperienced Richie Richard, and busty alcoholic Eddie Hitler, two societal outcasts living on the dole, trapped together in an everyday grind at a squalid flat in Hammersmith, London. Frustrated, bored and skint, they spend , bickering, and being ugly and sadistic. The show ran for three series, originally airing on BBC 2 from 1991 - 1995, and has been followed closely by five stage show tours over the United Kingdom between 2003 and 1993, and a feature picture guesthouse Paradiso. The show is known for violent humor slapstick and its chaotic humour.
Back in 2008, Bottom came in at number 45 at a questionnaire to see"Britain's Best Sitcom" by the BBC. The show continues to be shown in britain on Dave and Gold and it has been dubbed in different languages. Back in Spain the show is known as La pareja basura that aired on Canal+. The theme music has been given by The Bum Notes, a band that previously featured Edmondson, and is really a cover of"Last Night" from The Mar-Keys.
Plans were made at 2012 for a BBC collection including the Richie and Eddie personalities. But, that job had been cancelled that October before production as Edmondson explained that he wished to pursue different interests.
