Doctor Finlay
Doctor Finlay is a British television series based on A. J. Cronin's fictional Dr. Finlay novellas. This is a sequel to the successful BBC series Dr. Finlay's Casebook. In the 1940s, upon John Finlay's return from military service. Initial plotlines include the establishment of the new National Health Service and the modernization of the medical practice at Arden House in Tannochbrae, Scotland. David Rintoul portrays Dr. Finlay, Ian Bannen plays his semi-retired practice partner, Dr. Cameron, and Annette Crosbie plays Dr. Finlay's housekeeper, Janet. Dr. Neil, Finlay's assistant, is portrayed by Jason Flemyng, while Dr. Napier, Finlay's new colleague, is portrayed by Jessica Turner. The series was recorded in Auchtermuchty, Fife, Scotland, and is a Scottish Television production. It broadcast in the United States on Masterpiece Theatre on PBS.
