Gilligan's Island
Gilligan's Isle is an American sitcom created and produced by Sherwood Schwartz and originally produced by United Artists Television. Bob Denver was featured by the situation comedy show. Alan Hale, Jr.. Jim Backus. Natalie Schafer. Tina Louise. Russell Johnson. and Dawn Wells. It aired for three seasons on the CBS network from September 26, 1964. While they attempted to live the island on originally sponsored by Philip Morris & Company and Procter & Gamble, the series followed the comic adventures of seven castaways. Most episodes revolve round the dissimilar castaways' conflicts and their failed efforts to escape their own plight.
Gilligan's Island ran to get a total of 98 episodes. The first season was first filmed in black. The episodes were colorized for syndication. The show's second and third seasons and also the three tv movie sequels were filmed in color.
The series enjoyed ratings throughout its run, then climbed through the years of syndication in popularity in the 1970s and 1980s when the series ran from the late afternoon after school. Today, Gilligan's name character is known as an American icon.
