Macross Plus
Macross Plus is a Macross anime OVA and theatrical film with four episodes. It was the first in the official chronological sequel to the original Macross television series. At the time of its debut, Plus was a ground-breaking combination of traditional cel and computer-generated animation, paving the way for more computer-generated imagery in Japanese animation. Bandai Visual released the OVA series and movie in Japan, while Manga Entertainment released it in North America and Europe. Manga Entertainment released the VHS version in Australia, and Madman Entertainment released the DVD version via a sub-license from Manga Entertainment. It has various new mecha designs that are based on the original series.
