The Invisible Man
The Invisible Man is a television Show starring Paul Ben-Victor, Vincent Ventresca, Eddie Jones, Shannon Kenny and Michael McCafferty. Somewhat more successful compared to tv show involving agents that were invisible, it aired out June 9, 2000 lasting two seasons.
The plot revolves round Darien Fawkes, a thief facing life imprisonment who was commissioned by a low-rent spy company and given the power of invisibility via implantation of a special"Quicksilver gland" within his head. The receptor enables Fawkes to secrete a light-bending substance called"Quicksilver" from his follicles and pores. The substance leaves him invisible and also quickly coats nails, hair, his skin and clothes. He could release the Quicksilver, which disintegrates and then flakes off. However, the Quicksilver gland was compromised at its own production by scientist Arnaud DeFehrn to discharge a neurotoxin that accumulates in the blood and causes acute pain, accompanied closely by psychosis and anti social behavior. The host needs regular doses of"counteragent" to keep him healthy and fair, which is controlled by said government agency. This series lasted for 2 seasons, before being cancelled as a result of cost issues and bickering between the Sci Fi Channel USA Networks, and its then-parent company. The first season of the show ran in first-run syndication as well as on scifi.
